This year, I was fortunate enough to win a raffle for a trip to Belize, and let me tell you—what an experience it turned out to be! As I prepared for the journey, I honestly didn’t know what to expect. I spent time browsing Hand in Hand’s website, social media, and watching videos, but still felt a bit anxious about what my personal experience would be. Looking back now, I can say without a doubt that it was life-changing in ways I never anticipated.
The most incredible part of the trip was the people. Everyone who attended was a stranger to me at first, yet by the end, we had become a close-knit family. I had the chance to connect deeply with each member of our group, the amazing staff in Belize, and the beautiful family we were there to support.
Every single day was filled with laughter, love, support, and unforgettable adventures. The bonds we formed, the moments of connection, and the impact we made together left me with memories that will last a lifetime. Whether or not I win another raffle, I’ll absolutely be returning to Belize—because the experience was worth every moment.
