Hand in Hand brings people together to instill hope in one another as we meet the housing, education, and healthcare needs of the economically vulnerable. We do this primarily through Immersion Trips, where volunteer groups choose to leave their home and stay at one of our retreat centers to engage in an experience of learning and meaningful service. I have the opportunity to lead my first official Belize trip this summer: June 29-July 5. I am fortunate to be taking some of my own children on this trip, and I would love for you to consider joining me.
We will not just build a home, but we will get to see the mission of Hand in Hand up close and personal through our education and healthcare programs. We will meet our Belize staff teams and hear from them first hand stories of the amazing work they can accomplish. These trips can be life-altering as we leave the familiar to go somewhere unfamiliar with a mindset to learn, understand, and serve. Our hearts and minds are expanded to the world of others as we see and experience how others live. We build a connection with others, and if we pay attention, I believe we come to understand that we all have much more in common than not. The world is made a little smaller as we make life-long memories and sometimes even life-long friendships.
Contact Allison Ridenour at [email protected] if you can join us on this trip.
